The collaboration entails the deployment of cutting-edge CC2 60 kW DC fast chargers at upcoming MG dealerships by ATEL. This not only expands the charging network but also ensures convenient and rapid charging experiences for MG’s EV customer base. ATEL will provide a comprehensive service encompassing the entire lifecycle of the charging stations, including supply, installation, operations, and maintenance.

Both ATEL and MG Motor India are committed to exploring the integration of public charging stations through state-of-the-art Application Programming Interfaces (APIs). This technological integration will enhance network visibility for EV owners, allowing them to locate charging stations effortlessly through mobile applications. MG Motor India, which received a major boost after the JSW Group acquired a significant stake in 2023, has demonstrated consistent growth despite facing challenges. While March 2024 saw a 23% year-on-year decline in retail sales, the company achieved an impressive 14% growth in overall sales for the fiscal year 2023-24 compared to the previous year. This indicates a promising trajectory for MG Motor India as the EV landscape in India continues to evolve.
