15 South Koreans Return from Israel on Japanese Plane

15 South Korean Travelers Return Home From Israel on Japanese Plane. SEOUL: Fifteen South Korean citizens and one foreign family member were evacuated from Gaza to Tokyo on a Japanese aircraft on Friday, marking the second time that Japan has assisted South Korea in evacuating its citizens from the troubled region.

The Air Self-Defense Force aircraft landed at Haneda International Airport at 6:45 p.m., after departing from Ben Gurion International Airport in Tel Aviv on Thursday.

This collaboration is part of Japan’s ongoing commitment to assist South Korea in evacuating its citizens from Gaza. On October 21, Japan offered 20 seats on one of its aircraft to evacuate 18 South Koreans and one foreign family member from Israel.

This reciprocal gesture is in direct response to South Korea’s evacuation of 51 Japanese nationals from Israel on a South Korean military aircraft on October 14.

As of Friday, approximately 420 South Korean citizens remain in Israel. The international community continues to cooperate and provide assistance to ensure their safe return and well-being.
