Who is eligible to apply for this scholarship?

Students with a Bachelor’s degree in a S.T.E.M field of study from an accredited university with a minimum CGPA of 3.2 out of 4.0 or equivalent (for the master program)
Students who have completed a Bachelor’s degree in a S.T.E.M field of study in an accredited university with a minimum CGPA of 3.5 out of 4.0 or equivalent and show doctoral degree appropriateness or have completed Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in S.T.E.M field of study at accredited university with minimum CGPA of 3.2 out of 4.0 or equivalent (for the Ph.D. program)
Students with English proficiency proven by TOEFL iBT (minimum 90), IELTS (minimum 6.5), or EmSAT certifications (minimum 1550) certificate that is not taken more than 2 years ago (except for EmSAT must not be older than 18 months)
Students with Graduate Record Examination (GRE) with a minimum score of 3.0 in Analytical Writing, 150 in Quantitative Reasoning, and 150 in Verbal Reasoning (this is mandatory for Ph.D. applicants that only have a bachelor degree but optional for MSc applicants and Ph.D. applicants with bachelor and master degree)
Transfer students that fit in the requirements and guidelines are allowed to apply for this program

How long is the duration of scholarship?

The scholarship will be awarded in the full duration of the program as long as the awardee maintains good academic results and must obey all of the MBZUAI rules to continue receiving the scholarship benefits.

How to apply?

Register for a new account and fill in the online application form provided at the admission website
Complete all of the required documents including English Curriculum Vitae including academic background, research publications, programming or coding skills, and work experience, English legalized score transcripts from the past education, English proficiency certificate, recommendation letter, statement of purpose, passport size photo with white background, and legal copy of passport (citizen of UAE and Pakistan might need to submit extra documents).
Finish the entry exam and attend the selection interview.

How does the process of selection go?

The applicants will do an entry exam that will include math, machine learning, and programming topics
The applicants will be required to attend an admission interview
The course program will be started in August 2024.
