Professor Isa Ali Ibrahim Pantami is a Nigerian politician, Islamic cleric, and computer scientist. He served as the Minister of Communications and Digital Economy of the Federal Republic of Nigeria from 2019 to 2023. He was also appointed by the United Nations through the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) as Chairman of the World Summit on Information Society (WSIS) Forum for the year 2022.

Pantami was born in Pantami, Gombe State, Nigeria in 1972. He obtained a Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) degree in Computer Science from the Federal University of Technology, Minna in 1995. He then went on to earn a Master of Science (M.Sc) degree in Information Technology from the same university in 2000. In 2009, he obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) degree in Computer Science from Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University, Bauchi.

Pantami is a Fellow of the British Computer Society (FBCS), the Nigeria Computer Society (FNCS), and the Chartered Institute of Information Security (FCIIS). He is also a registered Computer Scientist with the Computer Professionals Registration Council of Nigeria (MCPN).

Pantami has held several academic and administrative positions in his career. He was a lecturer at the Federal University of Technology, Minna from 1999 to 2009. He was also the Director of Information Technology at the National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA) from 2012 to 2016.

In September 2016, Pantami was appointed as the Director General of NITDA. He served in this position until August 2019, when he was appointed as the Minister of Communications and Digital Economy.

As Minister of Communications and Digital Economy, Pantami has been responsible for the development and implementation of the National Digital Economy Policy and Strategy (NDEPS). He has also been instrumental in the launch of several initiatives aimed at promoting the growth of the digital economy in Nigeria.
